Heya guys I am currently still using the 81.98 drivers for my 7800GTX and lately have been thinking about going to the latest 93.71.

I had a couple of question one more complicated than the other.

Is it worth it ?
and
How do I go about updating just overwrite the old drivers or do I uninstall the old > restart > Install new or do I have to delete registry entries as well (The reason I have held of til now is because some people say to wipe the stuff from your registry and I am not sure how to do that)

Thats for you to find out. :)

Uninstall the drivers from the windows add/remove programs panel, restart, install new drivers.

However, if it aint broke, don't fix it.

You never know the problems you could have, saying that, if you are suffering problems, fire away.

I use the 93.71's they are excellent drivers and compatible with all the games i play. BF2, PES6, RFactor, LFS, RBR, IL2, Pacific fighters, Oblivion, WOW, COD2, & Source.
I can also say that switching drivers is a breeze with NVidia and updating drives is rare rather than a monthly event.
I would recommend updating to the 93.71's as they are Rock solid gaming drivers.

Don't overwrite though.
Use add/remove to bin the old & install fresh rather than over the top.
Don't forget coolbits either for easy clocking..

I also have the 7800GTX and have been using the 93.71 drivers for a while now... Zero problems so far, everything runs fine, so i'd suggest updating to them... ;)
