Hey, sorry to bug but what is the nVidia equivilant to an Radeon 4850?

edit: Oh and which would generally be better/faster? Will be for Surfing web, Ms Office and good amount of gaming (student)

For res question, I mean that I would be playing at 1280x1024 at least, but higher res if I can

With the 9800GT at £80 and 250GTS at £85+ its a hard sell to buy an nVidia card at that level. (Tho I would still personally but thats another matter).

The GTS 250 512MB card is the closest equivalent to the 4850 512MB.

Not sure he wants nvidia think he just wants to compare what they have against the 4850. 4850 and gts250 are around equal so go for the 4850 because really it comes down to whats cheaper and thats the 4850.

I think the point before was that a gts250 is actually basically the same card as an 8800GTS and a 9800GTX(+) so if he can find either of those cheaper than the 4850 then he can do even better?

I was saying all those cards are roughly the nVidia equivalent of the 4850 - all of them essentially being the same card with different clothing...
