installed theese earlier and tested em with 3dmark 06, score of 15537, previous best was 14841, 8800gts@796/1093/2032, [email protected], but ive noticed 3d mark ran at a res of 1152x864

I have an 8800GTS.

Is it worth getting the latest one?

If it's s***, is it easy to get rid of it and go back to the previous version?

Well, working ok for me so far, still cant push these as far as 163.75 as far as OC goes, but does take a slight OC and got about 200 points more in 3d mark not bothered with Crysis, I am way too bored with that now. Not getting the texture corruption in C&C any more, so with the TV options I think these are a keeper.

8800 gts here btw

Yeah its very easy.

Just go Add/Remove, and remove the Nvidia Drivers, then when it reboots, cancel the Found New Hardware Wizards, then run Guru 3D Driver Sweeper to remove leftover remnants, when done just install other drivers.

Its best to use that if you don't have a Nvidia Chipset board, as on those boards Driver Sweeper removes the LAN driver as well, as its named like one of the files Driver Sweeper needs to remove.

If you do have a Nvidia chipset board, then do Add/Remove same as above, then when you reboot, boot into Safe-Mode and run DriverCleaner pro to remove the left over remnants, when done, boot normally, cancel Found New Hardware Wizards, and install your other drivers.

seems with theese drivers im unable to select 1280x1024 so 06 ends up running @1152x864 hence my wildly high score

Using 8800 GTS 512 here.

Of all the beta's since the last offical release back in December these appear to be by far the best yet? Is it worth using these?

I am installing a new/clean version of Vista64 so if this driver is good I will use this over the driver from December.

Works fine for me. Running a 19" TFT @1280x1024 75hz with no problems at all. That includes 06 too.

Good set and these are keepers. Until Loadsadrivers put's the next set up anyway.

All fine here until FSX is run. When you come to load a saved flight I get a blank screen and the system freezes, that is a first here for Vista.

In fact all flights.

Driver loaded after unistall and driver clean, it stinks.

Yep, no probs here. Using Rivatuner 2.08 and running same clocks as normal.

think it might be a driver conflict, a friend has an ati 3850 card, i have only ever owned nvidia, he thought his card was knackered, so i tested it on my rig without doing a proper clean out of drivers, thats when my problems started.but hats of to loadsa, the guy that provides drivers, nvidia take note.

Hello.

I tried installing these last night. Thought everything was hunky dory and then 'bam!' a blue screen when surfing the web. My PC is running an overclocked e2140 @ 2.8ghz, XP SP3, 8800GT. At first I thought the overclock had messed up and when my PC rebooted I was expecting the CPU to be at stock, but it wasn't. My PC has been stable for 6 months so I concluded that it must be the drivers. Anyway I uninstalled the drivers and rebooted into safe mode and used driver cleaner, rebooted and installed my old 169.02 drivers. Anyway when I rebooted I had a windows message saying that 'my pc had recovered from a serious error etc'.

My Rivertuner Icon quickstart icon on the right of my task bar has changed too. This was last night and I haven't been able to use my PC since to investigate further.

I just hope I haven't ruined my card or anything. Is this possible? The drivers were WHQL certified but I've read they are still beta drivers or something. I got them from guru 3d.

Don't know why people get hung up on WHQL drivers, the beta's usually released by nvidia are uqlaity tested as well you know, and I'd prefer loads of constant Betas fixing problems on the fly than have to wait like ATi all the time...

However, now I've got off my soapbox... anyone running 8800GT's and getting good results? I'm a little hesitant for once as I went from 169's to 175.16's and they're nice and 100% stable, and I'm on XPx64... don't want something nasty to turnup, I'll only go for these if there's a performance increase?
