Nvidia Forceware 260.89 WHQL

I'd wait till the release notes are available , see what's fixed over the beta's. I'd Download them though :)

p.s I installed the developer drivers aswell and thought the same as you

These are the beta drivers just WHQL'D

BETA
DriverVer = 10/08/2010, 8.17.12.6089
CatalogFile = nv_disp.CAT

OFFICIAL
DriverVer = 10/08/2010, 8.17.12.6089
CatalogFile = NV_DISP.CAT

:mad:

Staying with Developer!

What makes me laugh though is people said to me " put beta in the thread title " and " I'll only use the officials ". When these are the beta's just stamped official LOL , exactly the same damn drivers

Yes you can now , though click on the " clean install " just to be sure. All this does is clean up the profiles i believe ;)

Surely the release note for 260.89 WHQL will be exactly the same as 260.89 Beta, the only thing that has changed is the driver is now WHQL signed. If they had changed anything else the drivers would have a different revision number.

Yes as i thought aswell , but some people will not touch drivers unless they are WHQL. Even if they are the same as the beta's :rolleyes::p

Well there is some logic in that, Nvidia don't release a WHQL version of drivers which fail the beta process, so there will always be a bit of luck involved as to which beta drivers they decide are of release quality after the beta test. Also windows vista 64bit and I imagine windows 7 64bit can be quite picky about whether a driver has been WHQL signed or not.

you do realise the difference right? ... people dont want drivers that havent been properly tested thats why they are beta because they might have issues with some games etc

they want drivers that have been "windows hardware quality labs" tested

They have now gone official:
