is there still no fix for the foggy-ness on the source engines when running dx9? (Steam) - for xp pro?

Still releasing Beta's i see, not very good is it promising official drivers for when Vista comes out for the G80's, and they dont deliver.

TBH I'm not bothered, I have my 64 bit Vista installed and its running fine.
XP looks so dull! :D

Roll on crysis :D

3rd set of drivers which just wont let me play cod2, i go to load the games, takes 3mins of a blackscreen before i see the game menu, then vista says there is a problem and shuts the game down. Starting to think about installing xp on my other HD.

Ah the joys of a perfectly working gtx in xp....

Will try these on my sandbox rig at a later point :)

Roll on vista64 when i get 4-8gb ram, 8900gtx sli and a 45nm c2q

Till then, it remains 'in testing' at my household ;)

i reply on windows XP woohoo, and i just played some cod2, went to go back into vista and i get a disk error so now ill be sticking with XP.

I hope your right-clicking COD 2's icon and running it as ADMINISTRATOR?

If not then your officially gonna be called nOOb from now on :)

When i installed any new nvidia drivers on vista, everything goes along nice starts installing components etc the green bar is loading up, then screen goes black. I waited just incase its same as xp where the screen flickers black sometimes when detecting new device but vista it just stays black, i do hear a sound tho, like when it has detected something. I need to reboot but after doing so the new drivers seem to be installed.

Anyone else getting this problem?

How i install:

Go to uninstalled program, uninstall nvidia drivers, reboot then when it loads up it gives me dll errors. i install new drivers then all the above happpens and need to reboot.

Ive always installed my drivers like this and had no problem before.(xp anyways).

What is the prefered method of installing/uninstalling drivers in vista?(without driver cleaner).

As far as I know they perform ok. Will have a proper test tonight with BF2 tonight. So far so good though. ;)
