Hi all. Pretty much decided I am going to upgrade my 6800 to either a 7900xt or a 4070ti super in the next few months. I am pretty much decided on the 7900xt as I really liked the software and I am very happy with the freesync performance of my 6800 on my Philips monitor. However if a decent price comes up I may be swayed to Nvidia but only if the freesync performance is as good as AMD. Can anyone chime in here on monitors that are not gsync certified.

I have LG 32GN600-B which is a Free Sync Premium monitor, it was not, at the time i bought it at least, G-Sync Certified, i ran it with G-Sync on an RTX 2070 Super, for about a year.

I've just upgraded to an RX 7800 XT, the Nvidia GPU worked flawlessly with the screen in G-Sync mode, just as the AMD GPU i have now seems to.

As above depends largely on the monitor - I've got a Philips 436M6 which last I checked wasn't G-Sync certified and is using a fairly early implementation of adaptive sync but it works close to flawlessly, at least as flawless as 48-60Hz adaptive sync ever gets, occasionally a little flicker at very low frame rates but that isn't a very usual situation.
