NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision 2

i believe so, as the monitor needs to be LightBoost compatible to take advantage of some elements of the Vision 2 package

The 2420 mentions "Light Boost" but the 2410 doesn't so I guess it won't take advantage of the additional features but will it work at all?

I haven't bought the kit yet and the monitor is still sealed so I might just change it.

Yes it will work no problem.

Basically when they released 3D Vision 2 half of the upgrade to the brightness (the main focus of 3D Vision 2, as dim picture is a major downside of 3D) is in the glasses (larger lenses, shutters open on each eye longer to let more light in, etc) and the other half is in the new "lightboost" monitors.

All 3D Vision glasses are compatible with all 3D Vision kits / monitors. Just without the lightboost monitor you don't get the full improvement, but the 3D Vision 2 glasses are still a welcome improvement over the old gen.

I have the 3D Vision 2 Asus monitor with lightboost while my friend has the older Acer 3D Vision 1 monitor / kit. The difference in brightness is very noticeable between the two, but it is also quite noticeable just using my second gen glasses on his screen.

Thanks for that. Think I will change the monitor. As I'm putting together a new rig I may as well do it all right from the beginning. The price difference when buying the 2420 and Nvidia kit is minimal anyway. And just to add to it, I've read reports that the 2410 suffers from ghosting, which has been sorted with the 2420.
