I've been offered one of these for just over £50 - is this graphics card worth considering, or would it make more sense to spend the extra on a Geforce 8800GT\Radeon HD3870 instead?

Its for a gaming PC with a 1600x1200 monitor. As you can probably tell it needs to be done on a small budget :)

With that resolution, the more vram the better! My 8800GTS 320MB just manages on a 1280x1024 with 2xAA or no AA.

I would try and hold out for a 8800GTS 512MB/8800GT 512MB/3870 512MB/3850 512MB on MM or the bay :)

Not worth 35 even.

8800GT at least.

Don't buy the XFX version. Its fan can't be controlled and runs at full speed all the time.

got my GS on MM for 30inc - clocks really well (700,1900,1000), low power use - idea gpu for F@H.
Memory will hold it back in some games - excelent buy at £30 but not worth £50 as said above

Can't be used with some VIA chipsets
