Does this mean the 580 will Bitstream HD audio via HDMI?

I've already read about 4 reviews and can't see it directly mentioned

Does this help?

NVIDIA has included an HDMI sound device inside their GPU which does away with the requirement of connecting an external audio source to the card for HDMI audio. The HDMI interface is HDMI 1.3a compatible which includes Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, AC-3, DTS and up to 7.1 channel audio with 192 kHz / 24-bit. NVIDIA also claims full support for the 3D portion of the HDMI 1.4 specification which will become important later this year when we will see first Blu-Ray titles shipping with support for 3D output

But that can't be right cause that would make Stulid wrong :p

Thats because these drivers were developed for the 580. Not the other cards yet.

So with a modded .inf its obviously going to have issues with other models.

hope they dont stutter in GRID like every other driver since 258.96

That stutter is the game, it happens with Dirt 2 as well, I did the below fix and not one stutter since. This shows how to do it for F1, just replace the F1 details with grid.

Windows Vista/Windows 7 Thanks @n1x1n for the suggestion.

1. Delete original replay folder (and file) by exploring to

ProgramData\Codemasters\FormulaOne\DataCache\yourc omputersname\

2. Open Command Prompt with admin privileges (search ‘cmd’ and right click on cmd.exe and select ‘Run as Administrator’)

3. Use mklink to create the symbolic link. Edit it according to your own game directory location.

mklink /D C:\ProgramData\Codemasters\FormulaOne\DataCache\yo urcomputersname\ E:\Games\F12010\replay

4. When launching the game, the 2GB replay.pbf file will be written to the file location you have specified. If you write this file to another hard drive, resources are freed up for your OS and game performance will increase.

Bit confused as I have my details (and card details) logged with Nvidia yet I've been sent an email with a link to these new drivers.....even though my card is a GTX480. But if I go to the main site and try to download drivers the latest drivers are the 'old' 260.99 drivers.

Might give the drivers a try anyway, I would expect the drivers still work with other cards.

EDIT:SCrub that, I checked the supported information and according to that just the 580 supported, dunno why they sent out the email to 480 owners though if no new drivers available

Hi

me too wonder if these 262.99 drivers have been pulled. I got my email just now saying 262.99 has been released but when I go to the website for my GTX 460 (win 7 64 bit) it says the latest drivers is 260.99.

Although checked the download link in first post its the US site and I use the UK, maybe the UK site has not been updated yet ?

They have NOT been pulled , these drivers are ONLY for the GTX 580 and won't show up for any other card. With the INF i posted it makes these drivers compatible with ANY card ;)
