How will this chip perfrom?

How can I expect Black & White 2 to run at 1024*768 and 1280*800? What level of detail can I go for?

Thanks

Just noticed the Go so maybe it does exist.
But I doubt anyone here has it, ytou will need to check reviews.

My mate told me his got one these 7400 in his new sony laptop..(His Laptop about 3 days old).

quote from website.
NVIDIA introduced three new mobile GPUs today (05/01/2006) - the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800, GeForce Go 7600 and GeForce Go 7400

The GeForce Go 7400 creates the no-compromise mobile notebook, a small, thin, highly portable notebook, equipped with the latest graphics and high-definition video support

Probably quite badly mate. I witnessed it on a X1800 512 and it wasn't impressive. As with any laptop display - you're looking at running it in low res, with low textures etc. Notebooks simply wernt made for playing games

However, NVIDIA might be better tuned for that game as in Doom 3

Nvidia cards run Black and White 2 very well. Seems to be a problem with ATI cards though, but no driver fix as yet.

Performance is most probably fine, but obviously wont be killer.

Black&White 2 has three quality modes, on my 'gaming laptop' which has a radeon 9600 64mb (eww), the game ran well at 1024x768. The 7400 go should be around the same speed if not much faster. You may have to mess about in an ini file to get it to go into the medium quality mode, but it'll play well.

There's not much difference between medium and high quality modes in B&W2, in fact I usually played in medium quality mode with my 6800GT because it lagged so bad in high quality mode.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that it runs B&W2 really really well. I run full res 1280*800 at high detail and it's no trouble at all.

LOTR Battle for Middle Earth 2 also runs well, full res.

Nice card for such a light and portable laptop.

ah you mean the GO 7400 from nvidia it will probably handle all current games at low res with no detail

Yes, I did put Go in the thread title.

It seems to handle all my games at full res at high detail. It does with B&W2, Doom 3 and LOTR Battle For Middle Earth 2 anyway.
