**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Nvidia bricking it. #wait for Vega.
They did price drops because of Vega. They want to get as many people buying theirs as possible before Vega.

The smart money is on waiting and making a choice after Vega is out, which is what I will be doing. If Vega turns out to be a dud, I will just wait for Volta. Happy to wait as there are hardly any games I really want to play coming out before Volta anyway. It is always nice for there to be a build up of games one wants to play before buying a new gpu, makes it all the more sweet. Plus you get the bonus of the games being cheaper and beta tested by those paying full price :p

Because I had a bunch of games I wanted to play the 290 could not handle. Played them now. So no need for it.

Look we all have our own motivations let's just agree to agree with me :p

I'm out of the gfx arena until sept winter time now

If a sub 200 980ti pops up in MM I might bite but a 1060 will be fine for driving my x34 and video editing for the time being :)

So I win then? Lol :p

TBH Amd have destroyed the x99 platform overnight :D
Uhm, because Nvidia are releasing a more powerful card for half the price.

How is that a reason? Better stuff is released all the time, Titans and 1080's have been out for 9 months now and we have enjoyed these cards while the best AMD managed was a card that rivalled a 3 year old NVidia card. If there is anything to be sad about that would be the poor show from AMD. This past year it was NVidia who made AMD drop prices, yes I am looking at you Furys.

If someone has enough disposable income to buy a Titan at £1200, I doubt they're concerned about losing a few hundred quid. Plus they've had 1080Ti performance for 6 months already.

Not necessarily. I don't think you could possibly know what every TXP owner thinks: at least I asked. The 1080ti is going to be faster, meaning those who spend that kind of money will want to upgrade.

Ive saved and waited for ages for the 1080ti from my 970 so if its £800 - £850 im prepared to pay it. If it rocks in anywhere near the £650-700 im even happier!! - Quick question though - im in florida next few weeks - IF and its a big IF i managed to get a card over there - if the card is faulty on return do i have ANY comeback at all (pay on credit card maybe and go through there??) - Its just a curiosity not a plan!! ha ha
