**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

True. When you can get a decent one brand new now for £475, I would not pay more than £400 myself.

Cannot believe Nvidia I mopping up all the pre-orders like this. Poor OcUK... lol

And just a week before 980ti were selling for 275 in MM

Amazing that a couple of weeks later for 120 quid more you can pick up a used 1080

And the majority here are going under water?

Nope

NEXT !:p

i bought 2 blocks the last two in bolton as well ;)
and 2 red backplates direct from ekwb

not sure if i am going SLI but if i dont can always return one block or sell it since it will still be brand new

Hmm decisions decisions. I'm only on 2560x1440 144hz.

Only?

I'd understand if you were on a 1080p 144Hz monitor, but I don't think a 1080ti will even come close to maximising a 1440p144 monitor. Regardless, I reckon it should make the most of that extra 60-144Hz range at that resolution, a 1080 holds above 60 in most games. Thus, I'm going to be getting a 1080ti or Vega (if Vega is good) for my 1440p144 monitor.

It will be an awful long while before 4k144 monitors are available and longer still before we get powerful enough GPUs to make the most of them. But provided I can get as close to that 144fps as I can, I'm happy keeping this years GPU purchase around a good many. So I don't mind getting shafted on the pricing, I'm not one of those folks who upgrades every year or worse still, every big release.

Hopefully OCUK get stock soon. Service is too good to pass up and hopefully custom cooled cards for order too. I don't feel too sorry for folks buying FE versions of this card, they know what they're getting into (even more so if they plan on ripping it off and sticking waterblock onto it). But for anyone unsure, always wait for custom-cooler cards. They are always far superior in noise/temps/not-throttling/OC and you can even get non-reference blower-style coolers if you want that cooler type for whatever reason.
