**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

makes me laugh the Titan X pascal cards on ebay now people trying to sell them off for £1000 when a £699 card is due in a few days offering better performance brand new -_-
Some poor uninformed soul will bite no doubt. It is called Titan after all. £1K, bargain! :p

Tbf if some mongoloid will pay it then they can get an equally performing card and pocket a few hundred quid before the price on them really tanks.

just emailed a seller selling one for £1000 asking what's the lowest "since the 1080 Ti is out in a few days for £699 offering better performance"
his response "I don't think it's offering better performance but close Titan X is nvidias flagship" 1080 Ti could have all 3840 cuda cores and titan x would still be worth more to some people :p
Then again, do you guys think we'll get a Titan black card fully enabled GP102 384BIT memory 11ghz so Nvidia can still sell a £1k+ gpu and actually SELL them as Titan X makes zero sense now

that's true, though I mean gamers :) it's like Titan X maxwell still goes for £500-£550 there's no point, 8gb on a 1080 is more than enough and offers a good chunk more performance
Let me educate you on how it works Tommy Boy.

Mr leather jacket man holds the card up in hand = Check
Nvidia name on the box = Check
Titan badge = Check

End result = Cha-ching, worth 1K! :p

haha! I wonder if he could flog a GT210 in a Titan X box, would that significantly increase it's value? :P
I still remember my First propper GPU, EVGA GTX 460 SC EE 256 bit 32 rops.... I don't know how many different configs of the 460 they done it wasn't even funny -_-

I would not be against a Black edition or a 1080ti Ultra but only if AMD have a dog in the fight which is close to the 1080ti (10-15%). Just to stick the boot in.

Its all about brand messaging these days, they have invested in the Titan brand and thus they will maintain it even if it means cynically hobbling a product just so it fits with the messaging.

The nvidia marketing messaging is what you are getting back from your prospective sellers and that is what matters to Nvidia in the long run. When Titan Volta lands at Christmas the whole cycle will repeat itself.

I really appreciate nice visual. I love sharpness and don't like aliasing.
I like the recent temporal AA implementations.

Besides, there's no going back to 1440p after playing in 4K for 2 years. The difference is night and day.

Furthermore, I'm fine at 60 FPS with Vsynch in single player games. They feel really smooth. I don't need more FPS.

I'm also sensitive to FPS fluctuations, and don't like when FPS dip below 60.

To summarize, I like playing my games locked at 60 FPS, in 4K, maxed out and without jaggies.

It's ok for some games and suits a pad well, but fps's with vsync and kb+m is horrible at 60hz. I wouldn't want fast sync either which leaves frame rate capping at sub 60 which is also no good. A 4k 120hz+ monitor with hdr that could also do the same at 1440p would be perfect. The Ti wouldn't be enough to fully make use of this, but next gen single card might be. Then again, probably into four figures starting with a 2 or 3 for all of this :D

I play with a pad, unless I play a competitive game with Vsynch off (i.e: R6 or BF).

Buying a 4K 120hz monitor is a waste IMHO, as I don't think that any system can push those FPS at 4K in modern games.

1440p is a nono, as 4K is so much better :P

Was debating on Vega before I remembered I have a gsync display. So now the question is buy a 1080ti and hope Vega doesn't result in nvidia price drops or buy a Ti and be done with it.
