**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

They are all unfortunately bios locked, or at least there is no bios tool to edit them yet. And anyway all cards including AIB boards overclock and run at pretty much the same speed regardless.

A modded BIOS wouldn't really have helped with overclocking Pascal because the voltage is hard locked across the board without physical mods to the PCB.

I see, so AIB pascal cards don't have higher power or voltage limits like they do with Maxwell. Kinda makes it going for a founders and sticking a block on it an easier decision rather than waiting for AIBs with the hope for better overclocking limits. I always by reference cards on launch as I cant wait for the more custom cards and I always wonder if I am missing out on a few extra Mhz by not waiting a bit.

I had in my mind the NDA was today (9th now) but they could show unboxings yesterday and before. Probably just a random thought in my head about the NDA's but I am none the wiser.

Some custom cards did offer slightly higher voltage limits. But due to the nature of pascal it made very little difference. It was more down to chip quality than anything else.

Not only are you waiting for a custom card but a custom block too. Will be a while for minimal or nil/less gains over a FE.

Cheers for the info mate, much appreciated.
