**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

The real question is why did the Titan win any as they have the same number of cores but the 1080 Ti is clocked higher.

Possibly the slightly lower ROP count. Also Rise of the tomb raider can be pretty inconsistent I gather with results at times. AFAIK that was part of the blowup on the Ryzen reviews

Interesting that the extra components fit into what were empty pads on the Titan. So they had these power enhancements in mind as part of the original design, but didn't include them on the Titan?

I think that's pretty normal. On the 1080FE and Titan X (maxwell) which at least in the case of the latter did not have any further stages had empty spots on the PCB. I imagine its easier to bake in the capability for upgrading / tweaking and not use it rather then omit it all together.

So if these go up at 6pm tonight, how much time do we have to buy them to get them delivered on Saturday?

They have a later pickup tomorrow when the go live for deliveries on Saturday with DPD based on earlier comments. I imagine that the cards will sell out so fast anyways those who select Saturday will likely get it then.

Aquaero system. Not cheap but brilliant and modular controlling the fan as well as even flow rates, temps on everything in the PC and even water level in my reservoir. Will keep re using it.

Just found it online. Damn that thing is...impressive. I'm tempted to find something that allows software control, as I like the front of my PC to be clean, and not have an LDC display on it. I will perhaps ask in the watercooling section.

Thanks

As for the 1080 Ti: Hope we get reviews soon! Can't take it any longer!

What are you using to control your fan speeds Sorry, going a bit off-topic.

This is what I use for all mine. Cheaper than the full unit and hides nicely away. Only shame is the single pwm which I use to control my 12 fans.

If they brought this one out when I was looking I'd have had this as it has 4 pwm outputs.

Aquaero dont have to have a front panel as they do an internal only controller which is solely software controlled. In fact after setting mine up initially I have never looked at the front panel once and its behind a door anyway.

As I said, not cheap to begin with but its a brilliant system. It reads most of its monitoring stats from Aida64 and then i have drag and drop profile graphs based on that data to control everything.

Then you can have the pump increase speed or the fans or certain fans depending on which bits inside you pc is getting hotter. Best system I ever bought. There's a whole thread dedicated to them in the watercooling section.

You can always add with pwm hubs anyway or have stuff connected the the pump or reservoir.

I have two of the 5LT's. One for pumps, one for fans. As I keep my pumps at a different idle speed and speed profile to the fans.

The 5lt only has a single pwm, I'd have gone with the 6lt (if it was available at the time) as it has 4.

Having said that as your comment above, brilliant system. Have all my fans/pumps run from gpu temp. Runs a hell of a lot better than controlling from the bios.

well, i stand corrected. *Reviews* out today instead of Tomorrow at 6pm as stated on Nvidia's hand out sheet.. haha, not that i'm complaining

sorry all, honestly Nvidia sheet I had stated tomorrow at 6pm lol
