**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Looking at some reviews and benchmarks myself, personally i think some of the 4K results (min fps) are still rather low in quite a few games. I'm sort of glad i moved to 1440p instead of 4K in a way. But then I'm probably a bit biased because i prefer smoother frame rates with higher hz. I'll give it a couple of years or so before moving to 4K and then maybe to a high hz screen as well when they have matured a bit. The 1080 Ti is looking like a really nice card though overall, i can't see me getting one because i don't need it for what I've been playing. Bit surprised it's so close to the Titan though especially in vram, i wonder if this means Volta will be even better than expected?

I wonder if there's still a possibility of Volta coming later this year or if it will be next year now.

So the question is, do I get a 1080 Ti or go for the 1080 Sea Hawk EK that just went on sale on OcUK? As I'm only running a single monitor at 1440p. I do wanna play on Ultra though!

Definitely need waterblocks to keep the cards running at a constant overclock.

Here is my Pascal Titan running the Valley bench @2160p at well over 2100mhz, something none of the air cooled 1080 Ti's tested today can get close to.

I dont think you can keep up this CoreCLK in the Wither3.The whole pascal line is so power limited, and no custom bios to bump up the limit.Im a bit disappointed, there is a german video, where you can see what im talking about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKWwoKcViXU

I am in a dilemma guys. My AIB 1080 was sold last weekend, so I have no gpu whatsoever. I felt it was the right time to sell and I got a good price. I don't run my gpu's on water, hence going for the AIB cards. I am so tempted to got for the FE today because the AIB cards could be a month away. Do I go for an FE or do I just curl up and cry in a corner for a few weeks until the AIB cards are released? :(

I'm running 980Ti's in Sli at 1440p, would I see any difference? My monitor is only running at 60Hz also, maybe I'd be better off getting a newer monitor first....

You wouldn't see a difference on a 60hz monitor no, but on a 12/144/165hz monitor you'd certainly see the Ti reach its limit!

On another note, my Ti is out for delivery right now!! :D:D:D

Custom waterblocks are a bit more efficient than AIO coolers.
