**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Yeah well I been thinking about ZOTAC/AORUS/STRIX because of 3 fans and MSI only using 2 fans... Well could anyone suggest anything?
STRIX = decent heatsink +ASUS TAX + RGB crap + fan headers. (which any motherboard can do..)
ZOTAC = not much RGB, however very good cooler + 5 year warrenty
AORUS = decent cooler, + extra HDMI for VR + DVI connector
MSI = fatter heatsink, might be quieter due to 2 Fans vs 3. Has better power phasing according to buildzoid. (can refresh power states faster than AORUS & STRIX)

STRIX = decent heatsink +ASUS TAX + RGB crap + fan headers. (which any motherboard can do..)

All motherboards of course have fan headers but none I've owned can be set to respond the to the GPU temperature, which I think is the main point of the headers being on the Strix. The Strix pricing (there is a non OC model) is comparable to most of the AIB 1080Ti's. The only 'cheap' one I've seen is the pre-order price of the EVGA model.
The Strix also has 2 HDMI connectors and a DVI connector (as I think many of the AIB's do).

Not that your opinion is purely objective hey Smogsy. Once bitten by ASUS hey mate ;)

All decent Asus motherboards allow you to adjust fan speed by GPU temperture as does MSI

nothing against ASUS, got ASUS motherboard 2 ASUS monitors among other things, but i don't think their that good to Be honest for the price. they just seem a marketing company now days.

its better that i do, most will see me hating ASUS.

what we need is a Company to grow some balls.

Here what would sell
Stealth Black PCB
Stealth/Gun metal Cooler
Black Heatsink with Copper Heatpipes
NO RGB
3 Fan design
8/10 Phase none switching design, for fast more efficent power switching
8+8Pin
2.5Slot & 4 Slot Design

Outputs
Standard Nvidia 3DP 1 HDMI
Lower Price Point, due to less features

I agree with that all except that they should offer it all in any colour you like.

Never one to miss out on a plug hey @Gibbo ;)

Its not a plug as the product is no longer for sale, just saying I designed such cards a couple of years ago now along those lines and they were a big hit. :)

Unfortunately now NVIDIA sells direct to consumer there is nowhere near the same demand so its no longer commercially viable for me to spend time designing products with board partners as the MOQ (3000 units) is simply too high for us to do so. :(

Hi there

80 units of Asus 1080Ti Strix OC arriving at OcUK tomorrow! So the first 80 customers who paid and funds cleared will get their cards Wednesday unless they specified another delivery option. :D

Even better news a further 105 units arriving next week which leaves around 50 cards spare, so get ordering as your will have your card by end of next week if you order a Strix OC now.

Awesome work by Asus to ship such huge volume so early on. :)

Are you not worried about all the reports of coil whine?
