**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Reminds me of this card which I personally designed with KFA:

It was mainly focused on aesthetics and low noise, in short it was a huge hit as we managed to sell just shy of 6000 units. :D

exactly my point, huge seller. Manufacturers need to spend less the fancy RGB/odd features & get the fundamentals right.

Id rather a manufacturer spend the £2 bomb cost on a powercoat or better heatsink than some RGB stuff or even worse the

Huge fake marketing they put out, put that money into the product :(

I dont mind the RGB stuff so much as its a way of appealing to the masses. The one thing that annoys me most is that you can spend almost a grand on 1 gpu and it arrives with hideous coil whine. That is bad business practice.

i think they should make a Seprate Line,

Sophisticated Edition :P

Why is RGB the fancy thing? Feels like 2002/03 all over again.
because every Manufacturer advertises it with RGB & yet to see one that does not look like a British seafront destination.

RGB is not needed nor is FAn headers = Fancy unNeeded Features

at least the extra HDMI has a function.

So, I woke up to this news today...

"Your Order has been packed and is in the process of being shipped

Goods Shipped:
£674.99 x 1 - Zotac GeForce GTX 1080Ti AMP Extreme Spectre RGB 11264MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card (ZT-P10810
£0.00 x 1 - FREE WITH GX-10F-ZT: Nvidia Promotion: Be The Hero - For Honor or Ghost Recon: Wildlands"

Did NOT expect that :D

Hmm, is this US bought pricing converted into Pounds or UK retailer bound £ before tax? £675 sounds too good to be true.

I like RGB :o:p

Not a must have by any means. I like many non-rgb rigs also.

I must admit RGB can be nice if its subtle but not Blackpool Illuminations. The right colours as well but something is very special about stealth black. Stealth black with some traces of gloss. Stealth black and traces of gold or red can be very nice on a build. Or the option to switch all the lights off.

Black and copper is lovely as well. https://www.million-dollar-pc.com/systems-2008/mdpc/mdpc-black-copper.htm

Its about choice, just switch them off if you dont like them. Believe me, adding a few RGB lights isnt hard, doesnt cost a lot and doesnt require that much development time to do in the interest of customer choice.

Are you not worried about all the reports of coil whine?

Nope, because a few people on the internet all of a sudden becomes all blown out of proportion because in percentage terms it is always a very small amount, even in the past on cards where it was a genuine issue the actual rate of return was around 6%, Asus have also always and still are one of the most reliable brands we sell, they certainly have a lower return rate than say MSI and Gigabyte do. :)

Hi there

80 units of Asus 1080Ti Strix OC arriving at OcUK tomorrow! So the first 80 customers who paid and funds cleared will get their cards Wednesday unless they specified another delivery option. :D

Even better news a further 105 units arriving next week which leaves around 50 cards spare, so get ordering as your will have your card by end of next week if you order a Strix OC now.

Awesome work by Asus to ship such huge volume so early on. :)

awesome news buddy thx :)

Well they mustn't have got many Zotac Amp Extremes in, as the queue was really short two weeks after I ordered mine, and I was told they are awaiting stock to fulfill my order just now. :(

No, I think they said earlier in this thread only 5 were shipped, I ordered mine within the first 30 minutes of the pre-order though, I am sure it's also stated more are coming in this week :)

5? Jeez. I tried to find out if any more were going to be arriving, as if they are sent out next week I need them sent to a different address. Not sure what to do in this situation, as I don't want the card returned cause I am not there to take delivery.

Also when I tried to find out my position in the pre-order queue they wouldn't tell me? Is that normal as other people seem to have been told?
