**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Just had a shipping notification for the Strix 1080ti OC. I was 50-something in the queue (ordered on the day it was listed - so there were obviously a few of us with itchy trigger fingers!).
PC all nice and dust-free waiting for the new toy.

Thanks to all of you for the information in this thread - I'd been lurking for a while picking up all the handy snippets of information.

Hi Gibbo and the rest,

I ordered the Aorus 1080Ti Xtreme edition. What is the expected time for the product to be on stock. Are we talking about few days, one week, two week or one month . I already posted same message on another thread, I apologize

What we do not accept is people returning cards for whine that is only audible with your head in the case next to the card or when running benchmarks with very high FPS (300+) as this is not how hardware is used or because a poor quality PSU is in usage.

Haha, good one Gibbo. The problem is, some people as I'm sure you're aware, like to keep their desktops, well, as name suggests: on the desk (instead of under as I like it) so they practically have their heads 'in the case' as you put it ;-) And that's when their problems begin.. Personally I couldn't stand the noise that the fans make under load so.. keep it 'down there' and vacuum regularly ;-)

As for the EVGA - well, that's what I bought the last time and then everyone had their cards and I was still waiting for my FTW. Well, 'trick me once, trick me twice' thing, I went with Zotac based on reviews of 1080, and I hope I won't be disappointed ;-) I'm sure I won't be with the shipping, I wasn't in the top 5, no, but still am hoping for next week, and there's still no ETA on EVGA.. so.. whatever, Zotac take my money.

All in all, those who have their cards, are you enjoying them?

For me, I am very pleased and going from a Titan X MAxwell to a 1080 was a bit underwhelming, even though I knew the gap wasn't that big but going from the 1080 to the 1080Ti has improved my frames by quite a bit.

Quick question :). For those that pre ordered the Asus strix of 1080ti with ghost recon now it's available with dawn of war 3 as well, do we also get dawn of war 3 or because we pre ordered we don't ? Many thanks :).

The email that had my code only mentioned Wildlands and For Honor.

Yeah very happy. I'm quite tempted to ditch SLI when custom blocks arrive and grab a custom dual 8 pin card as the FE power is a bit pants.

Tempted by the msi seahawk X, same as your pcb depending on how it looks.

Single card running my games just fine on my 348Q.

I would much prefer the Mass Effect Andromeda, have no interest with those 2 titles at all... Oh well ;-)

Funny that you said that, I was switching from SLI GTX 980 to single 1080 and I actually got worse results, say in 3dMark, went down from 17383 to 16981 (I'm on Intel Core i7-3770K Processor OC to 4,222 MHz if anyone wondering why 'so low' ;-) ). I wasn't expecting that, was hoping for the same or a bit more, not less.. but well, I was tired of SLI and was willing to pay the price. So I am wondering how much better on my set up this card will perform ;-) It's all on air in my case, not a big OC like some here ;-) But enough for my needs ;-)

My rift when running Elite is well chuffed at the extra horsepower in VR.

Everything else I am supersampling at 1080p now. Tomorrow my new Alienware R13 will arrive and the perf. jump from a 980M to 1080 is double!
