**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Still got the Amp Extreme on an early Amazon payments pre-order at OcUK for £809
You will be happy with the cooler on the AMP Extreme. One of the coolers I have ever seen. Much better than the one on my G1 Gaming. The only problem you will likely be faced with is fans reving (unless they finally fixed that issue in BIOS), but it can easily be fixed if you just make your own custom profile on afterburner.

I wonder if the cooler on the AMP Extreme 1080Ti is the exact same as the one on the 1070 or if it is an even bigger beast. If the same, it obviously won't be as quiet as my 1070 was due to all the extra heat.

Yea I saw that but when you go into the redemption part of the site it asks for the product code. I assume we get these from OCUK?

Think product code is the manufacturers code (part number on box)
I just clicked on the FAQ section----

2. Where can I get the ASUS Code?
You will be given an ASUS code when you buy eligible products from participating stores. If you can’t find or didn’t receive your ASUS code, please contact your local ASUS representative and provide the following information:
1. Email subject title: Dawn of War 3
2. Name of the store where you made your purchase
3. Name of product purchased
4. Attach a scanned copy of your receipt

Surely this means we get the code from the reseller.

Sry Gregster, anyways this marks the end of my benching, spent too much time on it and not enough gaming, plus I think I've shaved a year off my GPU:D. Looks like you got a hell of an air cooled card and I reckon you could outdo my waterblocked FE!
Nice score and I won't be running it again or at least at 1080P. I will give a 3440x1440 run to see how I fare :) Very pleased with my card though and runs 2050Mhz all day long with no issues at all :)

So i got my 1080Ti Aorus in and can here a little coil whine, now i am thinking it might be my PSU, its a Corsair TX850M which was purchased in 2013. Is it still up to the task or is it worth getting rid of???

Glad to hear the Asus has no coil whine and they are clocking like champs. :)

Another 105pc are due mid/end next week which will clear all backorders and give us ample in free stock.
Gigabyte also just confirmed large shipment of Aorus and Aorus Extreme which are the fastest cards, also due end of next week.
Zotac also just shipped us loads of AMP and some more Extremes. :)

I got it from the other place, they have been in stock there for a couple of weeks. I wanted to buy it from OCUK but the availability for the custom cards were non existent at the time.

same mine comes saturday also, was waiting on OC but the wait continues and it was also cheaper and thy showed instock today i need it to finish someones vr machine.

so excited to see it running though, i have an msi 1080 currently

Is that shipment large enough to cover a pre-order placed today? On the verge of getting in the car and wandering off to a competitor (not that I really want to) for a Sea Hawk but will happily pre-order an Aorus Extreme from yourselves if it means I get it next week.

On both Asus and Aorus cards yes, likewise on Zotac AMP too. Though AMP Extreme still has too many pre-orders as only 10pc AMP Extreme arriving next week. But saying that even Zotac AMP is very fast card too and good price!

Right answer. Order placed for an Aorus Extreme and saved me 4 hours in the car. Cheers fella. :D

Just for the record my STRIX clocks upto around 2086 but then throttles down to 2012 so OCing is good. Coil whine is not an issue until i hit a few thousand FPS and then it squeals pretty bad. Im happy with it so far :).

I ended up grabbing a Sea Hawk, not too sold on the aesthetics of the card but the reviews speak volumes with regards to the temps and decibel levels. Hopefully it runs as good as the reviews say. :).

I was sorely tempted but, as you say, the aesthetics didn't bite me. If it had an RGB Corsair logo then it would be a different story. :P
