**Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Thread**

Wow, just got a shipment notice for my Aorus Xtreme Edition. Thanks OCUK; I wasn't expecting that until Friday. Now to persuade the missus to let me have it 3 weeks ahead of my birthday. Maybe I'll just put my 1070 in the box before she gets out of bed (night worker). ;):D

Do it, the boxes aren't sealed ;)

Very nice! Ordered so late so went for the normal Aorus myself which will be here tomorrow. Getting rid of SLI and my custom loop so this card seemed the best to replace it all with. Be interested on clocks etc you acheive when you get it to see if there is any major difference between the two cards or just the backplate etc.

Just stick it in, hide the box and hide the 1070 in the garage :D

My gaming x does 1950mhz/5500 at stock, with +55 core/+520 memory at 100% volts,117% pwr,90c temp limit, it boosts to 2038mhz/6040 any more and I get crashes.

Yep exactly the same as my Aorus 1080Ti (non extreme). Then down to temps to how long the boost will hold as it clocks down the warmer she gets. When I'm running around 70degC it's clocking around 1960Mhz. So for the best clocks water cooled is the way to go, with temps below 40degC the boost will hold.

I'm also finding the backplate on my card gets very warm and actually makes my CPU temp increase as a result - my Noctua DH-15 (big cooler) is practically sat on top of the card. Was thinking of moving the card down to another slot, but usually it's best to be in primary for x16 speed etc.

Do a bit of googling and you'll see you can flash the Extreme bios onto the non-Extreme model

I found that with my non-Extreme there's not much wiggle room in the core clock, since it auto-overclocks itself beyond what you set it at (normally settling around 2000Mhz). It's the memory clock that has plenty of room IMO. (I've added +1000 to mine)

Got my MSI Gaming X, stock settings it will boost to 1886Mhz. OC mode will take it to 1911Mhz. Did i get a bad one?
Sounds about right. Install afterburner beta set volts to 100, pwr to 117 and temp threshold to 90 then run a benchmark see what it boosts to then, it should do around 2000mhz but might be higher or lower depending on temps.

Would only go upto 1924MHz, tried a reviewers settings and it kept crashing. Think i'm sending this back.

Well, have to say i love the zotac, would i pre order again, not a zotac anyway on the basis that they are either a much smaller company than the likes of gigabyte, asus & msi or the reason the zotac's took so long to come through because they were simply waiting to see what other partner's clocked their cards at and again the bragging rights thing, not bad if you want the fastest card but if your in a rush don't bother imo, I'll wait until good stock flow next time.

@robaczek what card did u order?

I ordered Zotac AE :-) Just got email from DPD, it will be delivered tomorrow. This is the 2nd batch of those cards that Gibbo mentioned before Easter. First batch before Easter had 5 cards, this week's 2nd batch was suppose to have 10. I called last week and CS told me I'm in this batch and sure enough turned out to be correct. Finally, it took 'only' 5 weeks this time around ;-) Last year's 1080 fiasco took over 6 weeks for me to get my EVGA FTW so I told myself this year, never again. Suffice to say I'm happy with my choice especially after the reviews. Not planning to go under water with it, so as far as 'air' cooling and noise is concerned, I'm happy. Will report back when it's here and how it performs :-) Keep your fingers crossed it's all right with no coil whine etc.
