I'm still so surprised Asus went all stealth with it. Wish there were more cards with nicer heatsink/covers looking stealthy. No silly colours.

All matte black is lovely. Now if EVGA made the silver structure matte or gloss or even a carbon pattern that would look slick for the FTW3 model.

Thanks for the reassurance Azazl187. I am a little worried if I made the right decision swapping the Gaming X for the Strix OC. I am sure it wont disappoint. ;)

I know what you mean V F, a black carbon finish in the three fan card would look awesome!

EVGA are doing a all black Elite 1080 Ti FTW3.

Where was this? Wonder how much. Oh... Shame there are no pictures of it. Bet its above £900 though.

Finally settled on a Inno3D iChill X3 Ultra. Having RMA'd a Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme with coil whine and instability in OC mode, plus a MSI Seahawk X with really, really loud coil whine, this 1080Ti farce was getting boring. The Inno3D is outperforming the Aorus Xtreme "out of the box" so far, which makes the price premium for cards like the Aorus Xtreme and Zotac Amp! Extreme seem a bit :-( Unless you really lust after +4 years of warranty.

Unigine Heaven clocks on stock "out of the box" settings:
MSI Seahawk X: 1974 mhz. @ 44-45C.
Aorus Xtreme : 2032 mhz. @ 68-71C.
Inno3D X3 Ultra: 2037 mhz. @68-71C.

Plus, the Inno3D's memory is 11,4 ghz stock. The Aorus Xtreme needs to have the OC mode enabled for the memory to hit 11,4. Stock for Aorus is 11,2 ghz.

Wow, talk about try before you buy! I went middle ground Asus strix. Boosts to 1979 without touching OC
