Can't see the point of 1080Ti when Volta will drop in about 6-8 months time.
Possibly 12nm fab with HBM2 memory. That will probably convince me to ditch my Maxwell 2 Titan X SLI
+1
Multi GPU is a waste of time and money these days.

It's a token gesture to poop on Vega...
NV are starting to get on my nerves...I'm seriously thinking of going completely AMD
You not getting a ti?Ah well, at least you guys are getting a big chip soon. I have to wait til Oct/Nov at least for big Vega
You not getting a ti?
... thats pretty much it, with them being first and stocks like the 1080, expect it to be close to a Titan, prob why they increased the pricing a little on it
Are you saying you know for sure these will be close to £1k?
If so, what's your source of info?

It's basically almost been at parity already, so i can't see it being any lower than that tbh.. In fact forecasts have been the opposite, that it will become better. Not straight away obviously. You do realize that as we go through leaving the EU the pound is forecast to become almost parity with the the dollar? I cant see us getting back to the rate of $1.45 to pound for a decade or so.

I IMPLORE anyone who is going to buy, either wait until we see proper Vega benchmarks in the (possibly vain) hopes that it gives NV pause for thought, or DON'T buy the launch FE editions and wait for proper AIB cards.
Unfortunately there are many who just want the best whether they need it or not and don't care. If the card somehow is better than a titan xp, even by as little as 20%, people will sell and buy the new card
Personally my guesswork will mean a MINIMUM £799 for the FE edition,
Yeah, it's a shame but people will moan about the prices just like every other time, but still buy it anyway. I'll grab an aftermarket version.
That is a nvidia rip off 1080 though, and I did say minimum, more likely £899. I certainly won't be buying, my 1080 I'm expecting to last me until 2019 at least as I'm only running 2560x1080 and have no plans to change.https://www.overclockers.co.uk/evga...s-graphics-card-08g-p4-6180-kr-gx-297-ea.html
Only £120 more than a 1080? Spits coffee out
