Wednesday I think as SF is on Pacific Time Zone they are something like 8hrs behind us so its Monday morning for them atm.

TBH I hovering over the buy button on a GTX 1060...If a ti comes in with a 256bit bus and the price is right I may bite

GTX 980 launch price was $549 back in 2014 then GTX 980 Ti was launched in 2015 $100 more at $649. GTX 1080 launch price was $599 so I think Nvidia will set 1080 Ti price to $699. That would be close to £699 included VAT.

Unfortunately it never is quite as simple as that. Knowing Nvidia, they will price it much higher in the UK and there'll be a few fools defending that pricing, using various excuses. A shame, cos £600 is that magic number for the 1080ti, where a lot of people would all of a sudden be willing to buy it at that price. And expect £800+ for the popular AIB versions, no doubt Nvidia will keep the $100
Which is all the reason for people to wait till Vega actually releases and for retailers to do the odd sale on 1080tis which will by then be plenty in stock. Nvidia will likely do a Nintendo and have low stock at release so people will be on waiting lists for their 1080tis.
Even at £600 I would not buy it. It would mean Nvidia know something and want to shift as many units as possible before Vega is out. It is best to wait see what Vega brings then buy whichever provides best price for performance at that point.
For the clown models. WHich would mean £800+ for Asus and EVGA models.
