Great news gibbo! :)

Here's hoping I can grab 2 FE's before they run out.

5% of last years figure maybe, certainly not this year, last year is already beaten with six more weeks to go. :)
Good going then, specially with the whole $ rate being utter pants. :D

I'll keep some cash to one-side for once those AMD folks actually release their cards.... I won't hold my breath though

Would it be wise to put one of these in a system with a 10 year old Corsair HX520W PSU? I'm sure it'll be powerful enough and it's been flawless since I bought it but the age concerns me tbh.
10 years?

Our hx600 at work. (Are on 24/7) only lasted 4 years before going. We had 60 6 years later we have about 10 maybe 15

Their only pulling 150-350watts

Moved over to EVGA 700w so cheap quiet and mass I've warranty

No i would not recommend it. 600Watt PSU is recommended but with it being 10 years old it will have had a fair few hours usage. Over time a PSU degrades unfortunately so its peak power output may not be anywhere near 520 anymore. Perhaps more likes 460 - 480 at best depending on how much usage you had out of it. That is cutting it very fine as id expect the 1080ti to use around 280 watts peak TDP and perhaps hitting over 300 if you overclock it. That's not leaving a whole lot of room for the rest of your system. Power supply tend to work best around 50-60% usage where they are the most efficient.

Long story short... Get a new PSU :p

Anyone else who preordered with Nvidia direct / Digital river has your order gone missing from your account?

Checked mine this afternoon and it was there, just checked now and I have no orders on my account. Wonder if they've cancelled orders off that they didn't do a test payment with.

Their loss as I'll just order from OCUK after Gibbo's announcement earlier.

Nope we have DPD collecting late so the cards that sell within first thirty minutes will be there Saturday if the customer selects Saturday delivery at the basket and based on availability of course.

a fire sale for the weekend then... I dislike Nvidia's pricing policy but I appreciate the OcUK service so TY for sharing that.
