**Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti Review Thread**

Man these things are insane, defo getting one. It out benches a titan x in a lot of the reviews. The price is unreal too. After seeing this and what happened with the other titan, id never buy a Titan. Best to stick to the gtx line for gaming. Is making me wonder what the point in a Titan x is.
The 980 confirmed to drop to 399 is also awesome.
Im gonna pick up a 980ti and be happy for a good while i feel. Im suprised nvidia are dropping the prices so much, i thought the ti would be 600+. Is great for consumers.

Pays for nvidias end of year christmas party :D

Only people who will tell you resale value on the TX hasn't taken a beating are TX owners. It's kinda sad that this 980ti with the performance it has will be around the £550 to £600 price as it makes a mockery of the TX and shows how over priced that card is. Especially when you can get 2 x 980ti for a few hundred more than a TX and absolutely smash it.

I have a bad feeling for AMD now though, something tells me their cards aren't going to be all that and Nvidia are landing knockout blows after the bodyshots from TX, 980 and to some extent the 970

The nvidia line up is so strong right now, the 970 = bang for buck, and the 980 and 980ti are giving great performance at low prices. Almost seems cruel of nvidia, but hey good for us guys. Well be interesting to see what the 390x is gonna be like, but i get the feeling it will have a deadened reception now. Amd will probably be lowering the rrp as we speak

Yes really, still has more cores and VRAM and clock for clock it still wins.

For the price of 1/2 TX's you can buy 2/3 TI's, so far from more cores :)
VRAM means almost nothing unless you are doing things other than gaming.

The scores I get on my card are way higher than the ones in the review.

Your scores differ from the review, your point?

We've been enjoying this performance for 2 months

And I am sure those two months were worth the extra £350 per card and no chance of an aftermarket cooler that doesn't throttle the card.

on a side note i still think ttl knows something about the upcoming AMD cards people who follow him will know what i mean. he was also hinting about the price for what seems a very good "upcoming" reason

And I am sure those two months were worth the extra £350 per card with a non aftermarket cooler so you have less overclocking headroom.

Less overclocking headroom? Go check my GFX score in the 3dmark extreme thread ;)

Those 2 months were worth it, you can't buy time :)

TX owners must be pretty peeved of :p

Decent pricing by nvidia although after the 970 fiasco, it makes me wonder "if" they have done anything similar....

The next month is going to be an important time, well for me anyway:

- free/g sync 34" 1440 screen choice
- how batman runs on both AMD and nvidia cards

If AMD is disappointing on both fronts, then I might consider the 980ti, however, if I can pick up a super cheap 980 then I will just settle for that :D

the PCP review he mentions a 980 $100 price drop
thats quite big news no?
unless we've alrdy had that price drop and i didnt notice haha

but yeh that could shake things up?
