NVIDIA Maxwell GeForce GTX 750 Ti Gaming Performance Unveiled – Faster Than GTX 650 Ti and Radeon R7 260X

NVIDIA is preparing their first Maxwell architecture based GeForce GTX 750 Ti graphics card which hits the market next month. The GeForce GTX 750 Ti has already been listed by various retailers which confirms that NVIDIA is indeed planning to launch the card in the upcoming month while Chinese sites have leaked a few synthetic performance benchmarks against cards which the 750 Ti isn’t meant to compete against.

Maxwell GTX 750 (Non-Ti) Inbound Aswell – Will Require No External Power Supply

Well well well, the dust hasn’t settled on the GTX 750 Ti and I just got word from Sweclockers.com that Nvidia is preparing not one but two Middle-Tier cards with the Maxwell Architecture. We recently released graphic benchmarks for the Ti and our friends over at Videocardz.com released some more yesterday. The GTX 750 should be slower than the Ti but about 25% faster than the GTX 650

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti Maxwell Gets Benchmarked

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti video card has been in the news for the past several weeks and today is no different. The latest build of GPU-Z that came out today officially supports the unannounced GeForce GTX 750 Ti and the PCOnline forums has some benchmarks that are said to be from a GeForce GTX 750 Ti. In Futuremark 3DMark 11 with the performance preset it looks like the GeForce GTX 750 Ti scored P4188 3DMarks with early drivers and then in 3DMark Fire Strike it scored 3170 points. The performance numbers leaked over a week ago showed a score of 4019 in 3dMark Fire Strike and P5820 in 3DMark11, so this is a pretty big difference in performance results.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 and GTX 750 Ti preview leaks out

Well NVIDIA is not going to be happy about this leak. A site called UK Gaming Computer got an early access to first Maxwell-based samples, and decided to do a small preview (luckily for us).

There could be a place for these 750 and 750tis, ok they are not ubah powerful, but depending on price and power draw they could be excellent home cinema systems or light gaming.

Agreed, ideal for a low power GPU, in HTPC or budget gaming PC. This is still on 28nm, so room for even more power saving when newer die shrink is available.

First pictures of Nvidia GM107 'Maxwell' GPUs emerge

Video card oriented site VideoCardz has rustled up the web's first pictures of the upcoming Nvidia 'Maxwell' GPU range. Also the site fills us in on some details of what the first cards with these chips will offer to end users when they are launched installed on video cards in less than a fortnight's time.

the die area of the new Maxwell chips detailed here offers a 30 per cent reduction on the GK106.

these first Maxwell chips will not be made upon the 20nm process as TSMC isn't ready at this time to do so, these GM107 chips are made on the 28nm process. It is expected that when the first 20nm Maxwell chips are manufactured - that will mark the start of the GeForce 800 series for add-in video cards.

Exclusive: NVIDIA Maxwell GM107 architecture unveiled

This is going to be a very interesting post. Forget everything you heard about the GM107, it was simply not accurate.
The facts about Maxwell
NVIDIA Maxwell GM107 specifications

As it turns out, the 768/960 CUDA count as read by GPU-z was wrong. The application could not read the real number because the architecture has been changed compared to Kepler. GPU-Z assumed that each SMX holds 192 CUDA cores, which was not correct. The real number is 128. Full GM107 has 5 SMs with 128 CUDAs each, which gives 640 in total. This means that GTX 750 Ti has 640 CUDAs (5 SMX) and GTX 750 has 512 (4 SMX).

GM107 will replace GK107 with a performance of GeForce GTX 480

You should find this particularly interesting. While GM107 utilizes 4 times less power than Fermi GF100, it will offer the same performance (actually even slightly better).

NVIDIA GeForce 800 Series in Second Half of 2014

NVIDIA also confirmed during the conference that they are planning to introduce the GeForce 800 series which is fully based on the Maxwell architecture in second half of 2014. This means that we will see the proper high-performance GPUs such as the replacements for GeForce GTX 780, GeForce GTX 770 and GeForce GTX 760 in Q3 2014. We have already noted codenames of the high-end Maxwell chips which include GM200, GM204 and GM206, however NVIDIA didn’t mention what process they would be based on but early reports point out to 20nm.

The initial Maxwell lineup consists of two cores which include GM107 for the GeForce 750 series and the GM108 for entry level GeForce 800M SKUs such as the GeForce GT 840M.

Galaxy GeForce GTX 750 Ti exposed, can be overclocked to 1.35 GHz

Galaxy is preparing its fully custom GTX 750 ti for the launch.

What we have here is a non-reference cooling solution and upgraded PCB. The presentation reveals all the details I’ve shared with you earlier: the Maxwell architecture, the GM107 picture, comparison to its direct competitor R7 260X, comparison to previous x50 Ti cards and performance figures.

That's a pretty nice overclock, wonder how well 2 of them in SLI at that speed would do at 1080p.

Looking forward to seeing high end Maxwell on 20nm. Could be some real high clock speeds, especially with lower power consumption / heat. Should get some big OC's even on air.

These upcoming cards are going to be beasts..

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (Maxwell) Review

Today, NVIDIA introduced its next-generation graphics architecture "Maxwell", first as a replacement of entry-level product of current generation, GK107 based on Kepler architecture, namely GM107. (M in its codename refers Maxwell as well as K in GK107 means Kepler) Recently (for more than a couple of years) NVIDIA has launched its new architecture every even year, for example, Tesla for 2008, Fermi for 2010 and Kepler for 2012, and this biennial rule made it more predictable that the company will release post-Kepler product sooner or later. Many enthusiasts have been questioning how fast the new flagship GPU compared to GK110. This question may, however, not be answered today. Since today we only got a baby Maxwell.

The first low end Maxwell card on 28nm is trading blows with a once high end HD 6970 while using around half the power.. (Check the compute performance as well).

High end Maxwell on 20nm is going to be awesome.

No idea what those guys ^^ are talking about.

The compute performance is back with a vengeance, along with mining performance / gaming performance and extreme low power use. Maxwell is looking like a beast of an architecture. All that performance and only 640 cores. AMD need to pray Nvidia don't release a 3000 shader core part on 20nm. God only knows how much power AMD would need to use to match the performance.
