I have a Asus vg27he monitor which uses NVidia 3d vision 2.0 glasses. The other day I got some cheap old skool red and blue 3d glasses what I got free with sony movie studio 12. They work but not very good and was just wondering if NVidia 3d vision 2.0 glasses would have better quality or the same?.

The old red and blue 3d glasses just make things look abit darker and more depth and slightly 3d. When 3d is turned on in windows 10 display and NVidia control panel it takes along time to shut the computer off as well. Is that normal?.

Lol you are using the old red/blue passive 3D glasses  i am surprised that you even get any 3D at all. Really go buy yourself some proper active nvidia glasses and you should see a massive difference:p

3d vision discover gives you a taste of what it is like, with awful colour reproduction.

3d vision glasses are 1000x better. I have some, but to be honest I rarely use them.

I find the 3D effect is very good with anaglyph glasses - just makes my eyes want to melt after about half an hour :p

I have used shutter glasses before and would do so again but nvidia price is way too expensive for what is essentially tech that came with my Geforce 2 ;)

I remember X:Beyond the Frontier with shutter glasses on my GF3Ti500. Loved it, the little man when I was docking was coming out the screen!!

I find many games have issues with shadows with 3D vision, SW:TOR for example is one of the better 3dvision games I've played but the shadows are only in one eye, so I turn them off.

It also is a bit annoying that bright colours on a dark background do show through the shutter glasses, so there is "ghosting". I'm sure this was lesser with the old CRT system.
