Nvidia GPU transcoding IQ

Just browsing through a sandy bridge review and came across this, IQ of the Nvidia transcoded videos is pretty poor compared to the rest, any ideas why?

I wonder if it is down to the implementation used by the software rather than a shortcoming of the hardware?

Yes quicksync looks awesome apart from the crushing drawback that it can't be used if you have a discrete graphics card as we all do

Looks good apart from I don't think it works on the P67 chipset, only the H67. As you can't overclock at all on H67 it's a move of madness by Intel.

Yes sorry to clarify guys if you run multi monitor then it's OK, if you are single monitor powered by a discrete card you don't get quick sync.

Essentially the GPU has to be actively used.
