NVIDIA graphics cards...

I was just wondering if NVIDIA do any graphics cards shorter, but more powerful than the 8800 GTX? The emphasis being on "shorter"...

Only way your gonna get a shorter card right now that does better performance is to go for something like 8800GT SLI which is still going to take up a lot of space and require an SLI motherboard...

I couldn't believe the length of the 260GTX fortuantly I have a huge case.

No they don't, the only way to get more performance with shorter cards would be to SLi either 2x 8800 GTS 512mbs or 2x 8800 GT's like said above.

ATi does though, in the 4850, thats the same length as the 8800 GTS/GT, but more powerfull than the 8800 GTX.

Yeah i always heard how the 'latest gen of cards' (then) were huge. I got my 3870 and was like....um its fine.

The GTX 280 is a little shorter. only by about 9mm tho.

8800GTX = 275MM

Hm, the only thing that springs to mind is the Asus 9800 GT 'Ultimate' edition. It's essentially an 8800 GTS 512MB at 9800 GTX+ speeds.
