I have received my 1070 today and when I try to install the drivers I get an error message "unable to install - not compatible with you current version of windows".
I have tried searching for drivers on the Geforce Experience app and the Nvidia website however I still have the same problem.
I have also updated the bios on my system to the latest and I still can not install my new 1070 :(
Please can somebody help me????

in display adapter it just shows
Intel(R) HD graphics 4600

&

Microsoft Basic Display adapter

but my monitor is currently hooked up to the 1070 and the cards leds are glowing with the fan on etc

Make sure you update your windows 10 to the latest version ( i forget which build). People had a similar problem with the 1080's me included. I update my windows 10 and boom no issue.

Just got my 1070 today, also having the same problem, windows is all updated but it still says it's incompatible with this version. In device manager it just lists it as Video Controller (VGA Compatible), no warning triangle or anything. The installer doesn't have the hardware error, only the version of windows error.

I have tried downloading the 32 bit, and the win8/7/vista 64bit drivers and none of them work.

I've also tried using GFE, but get the same error there too.

Any ideas?

i had exactly the same issue with my 1080.

i had an MSDN windows 10 and it didnt like it. I had to reinstall windows totally only way to do it tried everything else.

I don't understand, I'm upgrading from a GTX 670, the drivers for that always updated without ANY problems, using GFE. I may try putting that back in and see if I get the same message for the 600 series driver.
