NVIDIA GTX 970 OWNERS THREAD

Anyone else getting FPS drops in BF4?

Everything was fine in fact it was silky smooth but over the last couple of days I've noticed drops from 120 right down to 50ish which is noticeable when it occurs

Everything is stock clocked and VSYNC is off
1080P everything on Ultra and 2 x MSAA
AMD 8350 CPU

I got my 970s last week to replace my 680s and have been gaming smoothly since - apart from Fifa 15.

It seems to hitch every 15-20 seconds or so. It will be at a solid 120/60 and suddenly drop 20 frames and the screen will freeze for about half a second (audio not affected). I usually have it running unlocked to 120FPS and I had the issue then. So I tried locking it down with FIFA's in game v-sync and the problem persists.

I've tried putting all the settings down to minimum @ 720 (usually have it at 1080). I've tried removing my custom fan profile and taking off my OC. I've reset my pc and checked for driver updates and disabled sli, but the problem remains.

Has anybody had a similar experience with Fifa on these cards? All of my other games have run perfect (shadow of mordor, titanfall, bioshock infinite) and Heaven benchmark runs fine.

Not running SLI , but I have 970 G1. I was experiencing stuttering, solved by setting in game to unlimited fps and forcing adaptive vsync through ncp.
Everything maxed out, but disabled AA as I down-sample from 4k using DSR, running constant 96fps (96hz monitor) smooth as silk, game looks very good.

DSR in Fifa seems to lock me at 60FPS as opposed to my native 120... Is that a monitor thing?

I ended up going for two Palit cards and so far so good. One of my previous 680 cards was a Palit and lasted me from its release date to the current date where I am selling it on. No issues whatsoever.

I know its off-topic, but, out of curiosity, what settings and cooling are you using for 5ghz on your p8z77m-pro?

LLC at highest setting, Vcore is 1.41v in Windows and under load.

Chip has been De-lidded and has Liquid Ultra between the core and IHS then Noctua NHT between the IHS and my water block.

It's cooled by a 240mm radiator and hits 83c when running Intel Burn Test.

Loads around 50-60c depending on the game and core utilisation.
