A few more, just to show you how much bigger it is compared to a 670 if you're thinking of an upgrade and don't have much room, it's significantly bigger, not much room left over and this is in a 540!

The only annoying thing for me is the PCI-E power connectors are now upright, so means i'm going to have to undo them from their combs and round the back and re-lay them so they face upwards.

There's 970 waterblocks already? :D

Reference 970's are the same layout as reference 760s/670s so the old 670 blocks fit fine, hence why some retailers were selling 970's with EK blocks fitted straight away on launch day. The drawback is the blocks are from the dark days of EK design (frosted circle plexi /shudder), but then as they are EOL most places selling them were doing so at clearance prices.

£630 all in (cards+blocks+bridge) for a water cooled set-up that beats a Titan-Z or 295X2 was simply too much for me to pass up :D

what rad size do we need for SLI...............it looks like either 360/380 or a really deep 240 X 60mm

Depends how noisy you want it to be TBH, bear in mind 970 SLI is going to be dumping less heat than a 295X2 which is cooled by a single 120mm slim rad so anything over that basically means less fan speed required :)

DPD Baphinder 4:00pm... finally! TBH, I wasn't really in a rush as the payment problems on Friday just exhausted me too much to care today. Not sure if its of any interest... but:

My cousin got his Gigabyte 970 delivered today and OCED it quite heavily, 1500MHz+ on core and he scored 9400 on firestrike. Which obviously is great but ive seen a GTX 970 @ 1315MHz score 11140.

That's doubtful, they score around that with 1500core and 2000mem. You sure it was the boost clock being reported?

The i5 at 3.3 may be holding it back a little.

Perhaps was just the boost clock, but it was +200 on the core and the card factory OC is 1300+

If you see hexus link their 970 scored 11140 @ a lower clock of only 1300mhz or so.
