Nvidia GTX 980 Owners Thread

Will be getting my evga 980 sc tomorrow, can't wait, what's nvidia's drivers like at the moment? Latest the best to get.

Looking forward to giving shadowplay etc a go.
 
Got my EVGA 980 today

Couple of Q's as I have been in the red camp a number of years: -
What are people using to overclock these cards?
Are there any firmware updates for these cards?

I am getting a little bit of coil whine too, any way of getting rid of it?

EVGA precision 16 is made for these cards for overclocking,also they enter you in a contest to win prizes.

Most people use MSI Afterburner for overclocking there card AMD/Nvidia.

Coil whine ,try running Valley/Heaven for an hr or two.It just may help.
 
Confirmation of mine, won't be installing them for around another week though :(

Anyone know what the Gigabyte 980 are like. Didnt have a good experience with their 780 ti unfortunately. Concerned it be a similar experience?
 
Crikey these things shift some pixels compared to my old 670SLIs - really impressed with how they handle Tomb Raider in ultra @ 1440p absolutely eats it for breakfast :)

As a sidenote i've bought the pro SLI bridge from EVGA because it has LEDs in it.

I'm an idiot.

A happy one though :)
