Nvidia GTX480 white pixels around things?

Am I going mad or am I seeing white pixels around things on certain games, some of the guns in COD WAW & around men that are in the distance.

If you look carefully pretty much all cards do it. I wouldnt worry unless its a rather bad case.

try something like Furmark and see if you get them in there - if so - could be a faulty card

if not - probably just a quirk of the game

Then its a lighting effect used in some of the COD games that has some artifacts from certain angles.

Nah that MW2, was the only image I had to hand that showed it, they use a similiar affect in other COD games tho.

There's your problem.

It's called specularmap, you can turn it off in options if it's that much of a problem.

You'd surprised how much graphic detail/quality and resolution got turned down on concole ports for lots of games in order to have "ok" frame rate on dated hardware
