Short and simple, does Nvidia Inspector have to be open for it to be effective in the games that you use it for?

nope doesnt need to be open while gaming, just edit a game profile save it then close it and the changes will turn on or off whatever u picked when u start the game.

No it does not need to be open while you play the game's.
