For along time i have been having screen tearing in games or slow downs if due Vsync. i just come across this Nvidia inspector i have set my card vsync to adaptive. In the Inspector Vertical sync Force on and Verticle sync tear Control to Adaptive along with FPS rate limit to 40 and it seems now i get a very good frame rate in most games i have tested and no screen tearing or slowdowns. My graphic card is gtx 670 and i have have most option in games medium to high but never Ultra. Is there anything else i need to go with this Inspector or is this all you need and can it do any damage to the card?.

I have checked the temp while playing watch dogs and the card temp when i ALT/TAB was 72c on the inspector with graphics on high but no AA and in 1080p.

Thanks for any advice and what an app this inspector is.

nvidia inspector is a handy little app that digs deeper into games than the NCP. I use it from time to time when SLI profiles are not out for a particular game, as with some fiddling, you can get SLI working. I don't tend to mess about with the settings like V-Sync and such but it certainly won't damage your card and nothing wrong with those temps :)
