I posted in the motherboard forum but not getting anywhere, so I'm sticking it in here.

My Nvidia LAN port on my DFI NF4 Ultra-D has been working fine since install, well over a year ago. Now all of a sudden, it's not working. I thought it was a software problem, having just downloaded an MS update, so restored to an earlier backup. That worked fine last night, but just booted this morning and it's gone again.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Well going back to XP MCE seems to have solved it, so christ knows what it was. Went from working to not, with no changes to the OS that I can think of. Lovely.

Mine went as well mate, but awhile ago now. Not even a format could get it working again. Must have just died. So I just used the Marvell one. But now I'm wireless so use neither. :p But yeah, glad you got it working again. :)

I have found a few systems where the nVidia firewall plays up. So could try reinstall the nVidia LAN drivers and choose no to the optional firewall. (Can't remember the exact terms, but you are asked about an optional component at the end of the install - just say no to it)

This also speeded up a few connections and removed random crashes on another system. (All systems that were already behind hardware firewalls.)
