September or October

Nvidia's executive said in a room full of analysts that highly anticipated Crysis the first real DirectX 10 game comes in September or October 2007. He didn’t want to stick to a date but at least he gave us a timeframe.

This is definitely something that Nvidia needs in order to sell even more of its DirectX 10 cards. In November the company plans a new high end card based on 65 nanometre process and it definitely need the content that can push the limits.

Usually when a source says September to October you should bet most of your money to October, and this introduction will certainly boost EA financial numbers and pre Xmas sales as many would like to buy this title.

According to a same senior VP source at Nvidia, Crytek the company behind Far Cry and Crysis sold more than a million copies of Far Cry.

Is it likely Nvidia will launch its new cards before the actual crysis release?

Same time I reckon nvidia want to cash in on this big time. Can't blame them really can you. :)

So BIOSHOCK is out before Crysis? This would mean that Crysis is NOT the first real DX10 to go retail but in fact BIOSHOCK is. August is awesome, it gives u a month to play it with open mouths and then when done oh look! Crysis is out!

Erm yes this has been widely known for month's :p

alright, been down the pub all day (as usual) was chatting to a mate of mine (martin) who is the pub manager, and also a massive pc enthuisast like us, he reckons that the strat atm is

- ATI announce they are brining out new cards in a month
- NV release there new cards in a couple of months
- NV release new drivers for previous cards and new cards in one
- crysis launched, NV will have the drivers covered and get best possible performance
- ATI walk around the park with zimma frames and loafs of bread

tbh, a little more detailed, but its almost true lol, nvidia are storming off ahead, and as for there marketing, they are obliterating everyone with this whole 'the way its meant to be played'

Wow could you get any pro nvidia. I guess it figures does your mate from the pub have GTX SLI aswell

And while we're on the topic, why all the doom and gloom about ati? They had a delayed release....big deal, last i checked thats the way the industry works, not everything either ati, nvidia amd or intel produce is going to be jaw droppingly amazing.

Nvidia survived the fx fiasco, intel survived prescott and netburst, why can't ati survive past r600?

I don;t think the R600 should even be compared to the FX fiasco that was much worse.
