NVIDIA nForce 680i Motherboards

Can't wait to get mine up and running soon. My BFG 680i is just sat there with the E6600 and the Dominator 6400C4D memory.

Are the problems with these motherboards slowly disappering now or still remaining even though the new BIOS's are released or is it down to mainly overclocking.

It seems a lot of the problems are being ironed out with subsequent BIOS releases. Lest we forget what a truly diabolical state the first round of BIOS for the Gigabyte motherboards were like, all sorts of problems.

I did follow that with interest, just out of interest though obviously my motherboard has the early bios would i be able to flash directly to the P24 BIOS and skipping the rest in the process or do i have to flash the BIOS in order P21-P22-P23-P24 etc?

On an ECS 680i which is the same as all the reference 680i motherboards (EVGA/BFG/Biostar). An expensive motherboard for sure but when a motherboard can get the most from a cpu then its worth the investment.

I havn't had ANY of the reported problems with either the EVGA or ECS versions on any of the bios's. Best board I have owned and its a keeper for me. I was considering getting the DFI 680i when released as I'll admit to being a DFI fanboy but I really cant see it givng any other benifits over this one tbh.

Good to see many of us have purchase such a great mobo and it seems with the BIOS updates that are coming out slowly seem to be solving a lot of the issues that many users have been facing.
