Ive tried forcing the nvidia dedicated card as well ( GTX780m ) however everytime i try to swtich it over if give me an error ( which is simply a ! )

Im using lunbuntu which is based on unbuntu 14.04

Hi there IceWind, this is what l have done on both my G46VW and P170EM.

PRIME INDICATOR LETS YOU QUICKLY SWITCH BETWEEN NVIDIA AND INTEL GRAPHICS [UBUNTU 14.04]

Asus G46VW running with a GTX 660M and the P170EM with a GTX 680M.

Works a treat.

Hi there

Thank you for this. I will have a go at this when I get home. Im going to have reinstall lunbuntu/unbuntu when i get home as ive tried so many things now i think it would be best to start from the start again.

Another issue that I was experiencing on Unbuntu and not in Lunbuntu was the GUI crashing and completely locking cause me to have to close and restart the server in the terminal.... but im guessing that this has to do as well with the graphic switching.
