Nvidia or Ati thread

OP - I'd wait for kepler to be released before making your decision. I'd say the 560Ti is better for 3D if you will use it, and that's a big if. Tri monitors setups realistically require another card so with the 5 and 6 series AMD cards it's a bit of a gimmick TBPH. 3D is cheaper to invest in

I like this answer. I will wait (as long as I can that is) and see what Nvidia are bringing to the table, as more so, I am after tri monitors, but without the micro-stutter. If Keplar high end cards could allow me to play on a single gpu or even if ATI have a single GPU that will allow this in the near future, then I will be investing.
If not I will decide to gamble with SLI/CF and probably go with 2 7950's as the price is better (£350 is reasonable I think)

The 7970 can do three monitors from one card pretty well. however, the price may go down when nv release their offerings

The price is my off point. Realistically I am a BF3 freak and after seeing that guy with 3 monitors on here (landscape) Then watching another guy here playing Dirt 3, even my Mrs had to say "That looks amazing"
Not sure if the 7970 can play 3 monitors with high settings or medium settings? I am not that fussed but would still rather play it on higher than PS3 settings.
Also future proofing is becoming a must for me. If I am spending a few hundred on gpu/s then I want this to last me a good couple of years.

Well my 570SLI can handle it on 3 monitors, so i'd presume the 67970 could :)

I just went to AnandTech to see the bench differences but sadly they dont do a 7970 yet :(
I was hoping to see how the 7970 competes with a 570 SLI. I will keep an eye on that site, as I bet it wont be long before they have it benched.

The 7970 is a few FPS behind 570 SLI :)
