hey im kinda new to this but can i use a Nvdia card such as the 560 or am i stuck with ATI

I have a asus formula IV with the AMD 1090t

I wasn’t sure if Nvidia is just for Intel and ATI is just for AMD, or if u could mix and match

depends on what flavour u like really.... i always prefer the amd ati combo, there pretty much the same company now anyway. nice board btw :)

I asked the same question (can I use an Nvidia gfx card in an AMD motherboard) before I changed from ATI to Nvidia.

In theory almost every PCIe graphics card should work in virtually all PCIe equipped motherboards, the chipset shouldn't matter.

However, theory and practice are two different things.........

I'm not saying that it is a chipset compatibility issue, but I'd have saved a hell of a lot of time and hassle if I had stuck with AMD.
