Nvidia preparing new Geforce with GK110

Interesting! They did say it would be this week they got their hands on them so no reason to doubt it.

Although I won't be getting one if the source is reliable. Specs are disappointingly predictable. Steroid card ftw

Obvious post here but, my Titans regularly boost to over 1006Mhz and that's with the temp target set to 80C still. Not to put a further downer on things. I know like the 780GTX these will probably clock a fair chunk higher but it's all a bit under whelming, init :D.

The fastest GPU statement must hold true in some respect so it's either ramped up as the above leak suggests or it IS actually a fully unlocked GK110 counterpart which is extremely unlikely to happen as we know.

To be honest even though we're all rubbing our hands together in anticipation of a 290X crippler...The fact that we know for a fact Maxwell isn't ready means really we are all just kidding ourselves lol :D

Those specs must be fake then. Cos that looks on par with a titan, maybe a few percent faster? Unless im missing something.

GK110 is huge, getting more out of it is not easy or cheap. NVIDIA will have one mega quick card with 780Ti, but so do AMD with R290X, gonna be an excellent fight.

Still for the money HD 7990 was and is unbeatable at sub £500 for raw power.

^^ Will it really on higher clocks or more cores?

780ti will have more cores and higher clocks, it has too. NVIDIA won't release a lemon, it will be great, but will it be hugely quicker than AMD, doubt it to be honest. The next big leap will be new dual GPU cards or next generation.

Thanks for that, good to know. Looks like I'm sticking with my 780 until 20nm then.

Just really confused as a lot of review sites are quick to peg it between the GTX and the Titan which at first glance doesn't make any sense to me. If it comes in at the $699 price point it's difficult to know what spec we could be looking at.

I think a lot of the other sites are guessing wrong. The fact he said its the fastest GPU makes me sure it will beat a titan but only just otherwise whats the point in even releasing it seeing as the 780 and the titan are so close. If you think about it ,its ridiculous to release a card as competition to the 290x that is not even as fast as the current competition to it....if that makes sense?

Thought this would be the case, all TI models have always upped the core count.
