Nvidia price drop???

Hey guys,

been holding off buying a graphics card for a while now and i was just wondering is there going to be much of a price drop on the 7 series nvidias when the G80 is released

i would think the price cut on thoese would be more likely if ati cut the 1950 xt
nvidia will still try and get as much money as possible on the gx2

GX2's did drop a few weeks ago and then they went back up but they are slowly coming down again. I doubt they will drop much further because being top of the range there production is limited so no massive stock to shift.

I have had a GX2 and currently run 2 GTO's in SLI on my badaxe. The GX2 is very noisy in comparision to the GTO and the GTO Sli is about 2K faster out of the box over a GX2 in 3D mark 06. I have had no problems what so ever using the hacked drivers on my conroe system.

problem is im limited to 1 graphics slot as the other one is only a 4x, i was looking at the GTO but what are the stock 3D 05 scores?

it onlt affects performance about 10% with a x16 pcie and a 4x pcie slot like on the ds4

if it is a single slot card your after them g80 or 7950 gx2 will be fastest , although 1950xt is not far behind 7950 gx2

Well everyone is saying when the G80 hits that DX9 prices will plummet.

Not long before we find out, but i rekon they won't.

There will be no NVIDIA price drops!

7950 GX2 stock in the channel is nearly all gone. BFG, Leadtek, Gainward all have NO STOCK LEFT and have stopped production. There is only EVGA who have stock left and its something like 300 units for the entire of the UK. So prices will not change much at all, might even increase.

As you can expect G80 to be around £500 with allocation been so tight....

i think you can do sli on the ds4 and dq6 but you have to used hacked drivers , i am sure someone said before , cant find link though
