Nvidia Quadro driver 270.73 ( Inf Modified )

what actually is a quadro graphics card? i've seem them at very high prices but i don't know what they are, how different ar4e they to a normal gpu?

copy and paste = )

The Nvidia Quadro series[1] of AGP, PCI, and PCI Express graphics-cards comes from the NVIDIA Corporation. Their designers aimed to accelerate CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and DCC (digital content creation), and the cards are usually featured in workstations. (Compared to the NVIDIA GeForce product-line, which specifically targets computer-gaming). Competing products include the FireGL line of workstation graphics cards by ATI Technologies, Inc.. Companies such as Matrox and Avid also focus on specialized hardware accelerated graphics cards intended primarily for DCC

I prefer Modified Quadro Drivers to desktop, More stable... SOMETIMES better framerates and they have a higher quality AF than desktop drivers though some say this is just a placebo ;)

ok I thought I'dgive these a try - why not ....

and I'm pretty sure I cansee a genuine improvement in IQ

immediate one was Just Cause 2 - in oneof the "Benchmarks"- I had some annoying flashing shadows - which were really obvious - weren'tartefacts as they were there in same place every run - no matter my OC ofmy GPU,and were there for4 different Nvidia drivers I'd tried ...

I didn'tget these flashing textures with my previous 4890

Quadro drivers - completely gone!!

also DCS A10 - not sure but the textures (I run in 16xQAA) - look sharper to me

if this is because perhaps the Quadro drivers render stuff to a higher level of accuracy for a small trade off in performance - count me in!!
