Nvidia Quadro?

Can anyone explain in simple terms what the difference is between the normal nVidia laptop GPU's (8600GT, GT130, etc, etc) and the Quadro line (such as Quadro NVS 140M). How do they compare on performance? I'm guessing that the Quadro line is the business range and so is unlikely to be as quick?

The reason for asking is I'm looking at a possible refurbished Thinkpad T61 with a Quadro NVS 140M 128mb. Would I be correct in assuming that this will be incapable of playing any games? I'm not after a games machine but it's still interesting to know.

It seems Quatro is more for design and image quality rather than frame rates.

The main problem with the Quadro NVS 140M and gaming would be the very slow memory.

Although quadro cards are built for professional features and quality over performance they aren't really that much slower for gaming purposes... infact you can probably spoof the device ID with rivatuner and install regular drivers and for gaming intents and purposes would be identical to the geforce...

However the Quadro NVS 140M isn't going to cut it for many games released in the last 3-4 years.

i find quadro drivers work great with certain gpus,even better than nvidia forceware,you need a modded inf,which can be easily made by yourself,i get better fps on games with quardro drivers
