NVIDIA Responsible for the Most Vista Crashes.

Ha! it seems that (through a lawsuit mind) Microsoft has released information about vista crashes Nvida coming first 28.8% and Microsoft second 17.9% but AMD and Intel way down on the list 9.3% and 8.8% respectively.

It allso seems they have taken into account Nividas bigger market shard of the GPU/Chipset market , so its not just because they have more products out. AMD,ATI and Intel are just better with their drivers in vist it seems :p

Interesting you say that - from that info and reading the other thread apparently the Nforce motherboard drivers cause a lot of crashes.

Both Mobo and GPU drivers were bad and it was enough for me to not use my free copy of Vista after testing it.

But this is March 2008 not OCT 2006 (when I got my copy), and fact remains, they had more products so more chance of issues.

My only Bsods using vista have been due to creatives drivers... not a problem with either my (now replaced) ati card or my Nvidia cards

Every bsod i ever had on XP and Vista were down to nvidia drivers and despite always installing the newest one's out i never managed to have a system that wouldn't bsod at least once a week. It's the biggest reason i am going with an intel chipset on next upgrade and ati gfx card. I know some have had problems with ati driver's but for a three week period i had a 2900xt i had no problems at all. Used to be an nvidia buyer through and through but never again i prefer to spend my time on the pc having fun not troubleshooting.
