I don't see anything changing when the next gen launches. I for one refuse to play Russian roulette when it comes to AMD's drivers, stability and overall package, when I can pick Nvidia and get 100% stable gaming performance without having to tinker and 'fix' things out of the box.

Having more time to game is worth paying a premium for me - I suspect this is the case with the majority of gamers, hence the market share Nvidia has grown to. Crazy times!

Never had a problem with AMD drivers this generation. I’ve had issue with Nvidia though especially when it comes to eARC and my specific amplifier. The idea that Nvidia can give you 100% stable performance is clearly nonsense.

I've heard that this generation of AMD GPU's have better drivers - though we have to accept that millions of gamers have voted with their wallets, Nvidia have an 80% market share.

Also, on ocuk forum (and many other forums) there tends to be a huge following of enthusiasts, that are emotionally (and often financially) invested into AMD. These fans will flood forums, with countless posts that AMD drivers are perfect, no issues etc, making the truth very hard to discern. They're actually the minority (else AMD's market share would not be so low), though they're active and passionate enough that they attempt to 'take over' many forums, painting a different picture of reality. It's quite strange.

My nights of troubleshooting/faultfinding that ended up with NV driver blitzing out of the OS while trying to get Vrr working on a retina destroying 65S95B Qd Oled says hello.:p

Lost all my manually imputed NvCP game/colour/fps profiles, have to start all over again as I had to nuke NV drivers and start all over again.

You're lucky you didn't try use the OLED with an AMD GPU then! Countless issues! The LG CX/1/2 range play much better out of the box with Nvidia.
