Need some advice regarding the above and want to take advantage for Black Friday deals.

I’ve not had a graphics card for a while so need some advice.

I need a graphics card to run 3 x 4k monitors for windows / office applications and I’m also looking for casual gaming from time to time. A 4th output would be useful to hook up to the tv if needed but by no means necessary.

I have picked up a PSVR2 in the BF sales and would be looking to run some VR games like half life Alyx etc. so the card needs to be suitably beefy enough for this and more recent games too if possible.

Was thinking any of the above cards around the £250 mark.

Which would be the more future proof and allow me to dabble in FPS games from time to time ?

Thanks in advance.

Both will give you 4 outputs (usually 3 DP and 1 HDMI for both).

Personally, I think for longevity I'd lean towards the 12GB 3060 models (avoid the 8GB 3060 like the plague!) over the 8GB 4060.

If you're open to second hand then a 3060ti or 3070 should be achieveable (both would be faster now, but 8GB)
If you're open to AMD (and second hand), then a 6700XT or possibly 6800 may be a possibility (6700XT would be between 3060ti and 3070, but with 12GB... 6800 has 16GB)

Broadly speaking, more VRAM= more longevity, although nvidia has better upscaling support (as another consideration, 4xxx series nvidia has DLSS frame generation, but AMD do FSR which also works on nV cards, but the 4xxx series DLSS+FG implementation is accepted to be better)... I'd go with more VRAM myself!
